After diminishing club membership and a very successful trial of combining with Castlemaine cycling club over the winter season in 2025, a motion was put forward that we become an open club and drop Veterans from the club name. A vote was taken at a special general meeting in January and both motions were passed. So now we welcome riders who are eligible to race U15 through to elite/ masters. We are very excited to be able to offer local road racing for the younger members of our community all year round. We are also able to be a much more family friendly club with parents and children able to race together. We have older riders who are very keen to help mentor younger riders as they develop their skills on the road.

At this stage there is no plan to run any separate junior races, riders will be racing with the senior riders over the course and distance we have permits for. This may effect U15 and U17 riders as there are age specific distances recommended by Auscyling. Please check their website to ensure our race is appropriate for your junior rider.
